Dental Implants

Dental implants are permanent and appealing solutions to replacing a missing or extracted tooth. Implants are better alternatives than bridges. No additional teeth require altering to place a new tooth. The entire implant process takes a few months to complete. First, the process begins with the instalatiin of the implant. The jaw bone receives a screw and then the gums receive an incision for the insertion of the implant. Multiples can also occur at once if necessary.

The implants are placed after your gums are sutured. It takes 3-6 months for the implant to heal. The jaw bone forms around the implant during the healing process. The name of the process is osseointegration. Installing a temporary crown is available to make not only eating and drinking easier but also speaking, and smiling as easy as ever. After the implant heals, it is time to place an abutment on the implant. The abutment serves as the base for the new tooth. Once placed, the abutment receives an impression. Impressions facilitate the creation of your permanent restoration.

Finally, return to the office to have the restoration permanently attached. Your smile will look like it was before once the restoration process is completed. Your new restoration will look like one of your very own teeth after a short period of time.

Mini Dental Implants

Miniature dental implants are about half the size in diameter of a regular dental implant. Mini dental implants offer many benefits. The implant can be used in situations where regular implants cannot. Because of their smaller size, mini implants are the preferred method. Especially if the implant needs to be placed in a narrow space.

The primary use of miniature implants is to install a full upper or lower denture. A series of mini implants (4-6) are placed along the gum line. These implants serve as the base of the denture. Rather than placing a single implant for a single tooth, the entire lower or upper set of teeth directly attach to the gum line.

Due to mini dental implant’s small size, mini implants usually do not require an incision to place them. Implants are inserted right through the gum to the bone. Eliminating the need for a recovery period. The restoration is placed; either right away or only a short time after. As a bonus, mini implants are less expensive than regular implants. Only your dentist knows if mini implants are right for you, therefore call for your consultation today.

The term pain free dentist doesn’t get said often, but this is as close as it gets. Dr. Nick does a great job. I HATE needles and he talked me through it completely. If you want top quality dental care, coupled with a very relaxing environment, this is the place! 5 stars doesn’t do it justice!
